When you have a powerful all-in-one marketing tool like Omnisend, it only becomes more powerful as you feed it more data. You can personalize messages with more specificity, send dynamic content based on actions or preferences of your customers, and you can do this across email, SMS, and paid ads.

And great news: Prehook now integrates with Omnisend

This means that all quiz responses are automatically and instantly sent to Omnisend to incorporate into your marketing campaigns.

Ultimately, this will help you send the right message and offer to the right customer, at the right time. That’s what marketing is all about, after all. This leads to better engagement, as measured by higher open rates and click through rates, and thus more sales.

In this post, we’ll explore how the Omnisend/Prehook integration can be a game-changer for your marketing strategy.

An Overview: Prehook & Omnisend

Omnisend is a powerful marketing automation tool built specifically for eCommerce.

Here are just a few ways that Omnisend helps drive ecommerce growth:

  • Automations: The robust automation builder allows for multi-channel communication — email, SMS, push notifications and more.
  • Templates: Omnisend has so much to offer “out of the box”, in terms of automation workflows (like welcome series, abandoned cart, order confirmation, etc), template designs, and segments. This helps set the strategy and save time in building out complex automations, to ensure that you hit the ground running.
  • Integrations: Omnisend integrates with many third party apps like Yotpo, Gorgias, and Prehook to do even more with your marketing campaigns.

By connecting Prehook to Omnisend, all Prehook quiz responses and contacts are automatically sent to Omnisend.

Let’s use an example store to see how you can leverage the two throughout the customer journey to drive more conversions, leads, and a better overall customer experience.

Integrate Prehook & Omnisend to: Personalize The Shopping Experience

A personalized marketing experience is what consumers expect today. In fact, 63% of consumers are highly annoyed by brands that rely on generic campaigns.

Prehook and Omnisend have features that allow you to personalize the website shopping experience, as well as the communication afterwards.

Personalize By Name:

The simplest way to personalize your marketing is to refer to the customer by name. It’s obviously difficult to know what to call someone, unless of course you ask!

It’s a simple and effective way to start a quiz, as it is a “small” ask:

WIth Prehook’s Recall feature, you can use answers from previous questions throughout the quiz experience. For example, as I just provided my name, in the Prehook builder you can use that to dynamically insert it into future questions by simply adding an ‘@’ in the question, like this:

But there is far more personalization that’s possible than just including a first name.

Omnisend allows for fine-tuned segmentation and targeting, and the Prehook customer data can allow you to get very granular.

One way that you can personalize with Omnisend is with Conditional content blocks.

Conditional Content Blocks allow you to dynamically include or hide different content, depending on who the recipient is.

For example, if your skincare brand wants to showcase different products based on skin type, you can do this. Or only show men’s products to a male recipient, and women’s products to a female recipient, you can do this!

Conditional Content Blocks are available in Omnisend’s Automation workflows, and allow you to simplify and scale your marketing efforts: you don’t need to create multiple workflows and triggers with dynamic content.

Instead, you can just create one email, and insert different content depending on what information you know about your customers. Prehook quiz responses are a great way to gather more of this data!

For example, you can feature a product based on the product recommendation from Prehook, or what types of products they are interested in:

Integrate Prehook & Omnisend to: Capture More Leads

Audience growth is a fundamental part of getting more from marketing automation.

At the core of the Prehook and Omnisend integration is that new contacts are created immediately after a customer adds their contact information. This can be for both email:

And SMS:

Email and Phone are added to the “Details” section of a contact, which looks like this:

And after completing a quiz, all of the quiz responses are displayed in the contact information. So for this skincare quiz, there are questions about gender, age, types of products that are of interest, skin type, and more:

These are great data points to build segments around. Omnisend makes it easy to create segments based on purchase history, website and email engagement, and demographic info. But now with Prehook’s integration, you can get more specific to segment around their wants, needs, challenges and more, and build campaigns speaking to these things.

Integrate Prehook & Omnisend to: Improve Segmentation & Retention Marketing

The lifeblood of an eCommerce business is the ability to drive repeat purchases–it builds lifetime value for each customer, and is ultimately necessary to build a sustainable business. This is called retention marketing, and something that Omnisend’s features make easier.

Omnisend’s Lifecycle map is a great way to identify and segment your customers based on their value. This is determined by purchase history in frequency, recency, and amount spent, so that it’s easier to keep your best customers engaged.

This is useful to know how to prioritize your audience, and what messaging and campaigns make sense for each segment.

These segments alone are actionable and insightful.

However, you can layer on additional segments to get even more targeted. And this is where the insights from Prehook can be helpful to fill in the gaps!

For example, you can create a segment of “Champions” that have identified their biggest skincare concern as dry skin, and give them early access to a moisturizer you are releasing. Or create a segment of “About to lose” customers who are interested in sunscreen, and share a coupon for a suntan lotion.

The possibilities are endless, but the power of combining lifecycle marketing with customer’s preferences and intent is incredibly powerful in terms of the value it can deliver to your business. It’s a good idea to start by focusing on the most valuable customers — called Loyalists and Champions–and ensure that they get the deserved attention.

You can add a custom property to your Customer lifecycle stage in your Contacts tab, like this:

Note: A customer has to place at least one order in order to have a Lifecycle stage in their contact information.

Integrate Prehook & Omnisend to: Dominate Omnichannel marketing

Omnisend enables you to sync the segments you create into Facebook Custom Audiences and Google remarketing audiences.

This is a great way to improve paid advertising campaigns, by seamlessly retargeting segments, and also creating smaller segments based on Prehook customer data:

You can sync any segment in Omnisend’s Segment dashboard:

This allows you to create a consistent brand experience across email, SMS, social (Facebook, Instagram, Google and Youtube), and web push notifications. If you are able to reach your customers with greater frequency, and with a compelling message, you increase your odds of driving a conversion.

For our skincare example, you can segment contacts based on the Custom Properties gathered in the quiz. So you can create a segment in Omnisend for customers that are concerned about aging, and show creative that demonstrates the anti-aging benefits of your product.

This segment can be sent automatically to Facebook as a Custom Audience, and after you sync with Facebook Business account, you can run ads on Facebook and Instagram.

Omnisend therefore becomes the centerpiece that drives personalized marketing across multiple channels, to create a cohesive and compelling customer experience.
