How Prehook LLC collects, uses and shares personal information when a merchant installs the AI Quiz Funnels app on a Shopify store and when shoppers take a quiz.

Prehook LLC ("Prehook", "we", "us") provides Prehook AI Quiz Funnels (the "App"), a Shopify app that lets merchants create and publish interactive quizzes on their stores, recommend products and capture leads. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used and shared when a merchant installs or uses the App, and when a shopper takes a quiz on a merchant's store.
Two roles. Merchants: for information about you and your staff, Prehook is the controller (or "business"). Shoppers: the merchant whose store you are shopping on decides what its quiz asks and what happens to your answers — the merchant is the controller, and Prehook processes the information on the merchant's behalf. Shoppers should read the store's own privacy policy first; this Policy explains what Prehook does with the information.
Our website has its own Privacy Policy, and our other app its own AI Virtual Try On Privacy Policy.
When a shopper opens a quiz on a merchant's store, the App creates a submission record and updates it as the shopper answers.
The App does not combine shopper answers across merchants to build profiles, and does not send shopper answers to any third-party artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service. Recommendations are computed from the rules and product data the merchant configured.
For merchant information we rely on the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the App and marketing it to businesses, your consent where the law requires it (marketing emails) and compliance with legal obligations. Shopper information is processed on the merchant's instructions; the merchant is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because the merchant controls the quiz and your answers, please contact the store you took the quiz on to access, correct or delete your information or to withdraw marketing consent; the merchant can delete your submission from its results and unsubscribe you in the platforms it uses. You may also email [email protected] with the store's name — we will forward your request to the merchant and help it respond, or act on it directly where the law requires.
You can view and edit your store information and quizzes in the dashboard, export your submissions, and email [email protected] to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you or your store, or to object to or restrict its processing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any message.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example to data portability, to withdraw consent, to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority (EU and UK), or the California rights to know, delete, correct and not be discriminated against. We will verify requests and respond within the time the applicable law allows.
Prehook LLC is based in the United States and processes information there, and the providers named above operate in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism for information from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, the UK addendum or another lawful mechanism.
The App is intended for businesses and their adult customers. It is not directed to children under 16, and merchants must not use quizzes to collect information from them. If we learn that we hold information about a child under 16, we will delete it.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App, our practices or the law. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify merchants through the app, our website or email.
